Probabilmente è la più famosa canzone dei Beatles, fu pubblicata la prima volta nel 1968. La canzone fu scritta da Paul McCartney per il figlio di John Lennon, Julian, per dargli conforto in un momento particolare: il divorzio dei genitori, e per questo in origine la canzone si intitolava "Hey Jules". Nonostante la canzone durasse più di 7 minuti, tempo abbastanza lungo per un singolo, vendette 5 milioni di copie soltanto nei primi sei mesi. Let it be è una canzone dei Beatles prodotta nel 1970 dal duo Paul McCartney/John Lennon. La canzone ha dietro un aneddoto abbastanza interessante: è stata ideata da Paul McCartney dopo che questo ha sognato la madre, morta di cancro quando lui era appena quindicenne, che gli consigliava di non preoccuparsi, di andare avanti e che tutto si sarebbe aggiustato, era quello un momento molto particolare della storia dei Beatles viste le tensioni che iniziavano a crearsi all'interno del gruppo. La canzone non ha mai convinto Lennon che la vedeva troppo "religiosa", nonostante tutto si rivelò un successo planetario. Fu l'ultimo singolo dei Beatles pubblicato prima dello scioglimento della band e fu prima in classifica in Italia, Stati Uniti, Australia, Svizzera e Norvegia; fu seconda in Inghilterra.
